Flesh Memory: A Corrected Renaissance Flap-Anatomy

Ballpoint pen, 36" diameter

The renaissance gave rise to infamous and awe-worthy anatomy studies, with perhaps the most charming being paper flap-anatomies. These interactive bodies gave students and curious lay-folk the chance to learn about the human form. Unfortunately, many of these figures are grievously inaccurate, sexist, or at the very least, goofily disproportioned. In this series, it is my intention to present a corrected version of this sweet, intimate, art form, in full-scale.
